A Hausarbeit is a term paper at a German university. In May 2023, when I was 14, I launched HausarbeitBoost, an AI-assisted writing platform for university students. Generative AI tools weren't widely used yet.
I did the branding, ran user growth and tested ways to make money from it. It passed 1,000 users, and in an early two-month stretch it made more than €200. It earned a few hundred euros in total, which was super exciting for me at that age.
As more people went straight to ChatGPT, HausarbeitBoost became less relevant. I stopped working on it in June 2024.
